You know, I could wax satirical about lack of clothing and comfy beds and silky lingere. I could. But I'm not gonna. We both know what this post is all about.
Betsey Johnson special edition Layla B-day pumps. Swarovski and pearl detail, screw heel, pleated satin with glitter mesh overlay. I think the shoe speak for themselves.

Christmas came early this year. More on that in a moment. The outfit is my driving outfit. It's what I wear when I go driving. Which I can't right now. So I wear the clothes and pretend. Its a nice sensation. My favorite black skinny jeans with the fur lined biker jacket. And some sexy underwear. That's it.

Christmas came, like I said, early. It came in a pretty pink box with leopard print paper. Black Betsey Johnson peep-toe pumps with gold studs on the bow. Leather. Killer doorstop-looking heels.

They also came with a pair of leather driving gloves with little rivets that match my jacket. And bows. The bows are killer.

...sometimes, I put the gloves in my face and inhale the smell of leather.....is that wrong?

Halloween. I could have cone all wacky with some crazy costume, but I've been rather busy and stressed lately. So I wore my classic fail-proof fall-back costume. Years and years ago (we're talking early 70's here) my mother was at school in Europe. When she was in Austria, she got herself a dirndl. I think she got my aunt one too. And now I have it. It's survived many a Halloween before, when I just couldn't come up with anything good. But it fits me perfectly, and it DOES look good. Apparently though I haven't work it recently enough for my friends to remember.

Well, now you can remember!

I found I didn't have anything terribly authentic or apropriate for a Heidi/Swiss Miss look. So I went with the vague idea of the VonTrap family, and pulled out a pair of brown ballet flats. At one point they had silly elastic straps across the front, and might have been black. I'm pretty sure they were for another costume at some point. But what I love about them is that they're terribly well soled and are quite comfortable.

And yes, I finally DID get some Trick-or-treaters this year.

Special delivery from Ben. Who needs a fantastic outfit with stunning pumps like these?

Costume comission for a friend. Hapily enough, she and I are the same size, so I can test the fit on me. And it just happens that since all the students wear the same costume, and the character's best friend has hair that matches a wig I have....I totally am cosplaying the bestfriend before I deliver the ensemble.

White dress shirt with oversize cuffs and collar. Pleated skirt and jacket in stretch twill. The jacket is a little ridiculous. Stud details, picky rosebud buttons that DO NOTHING, odd collar that is a creation of the imagination, a large amount of white piping. I do love the studs though, they're quite perfect.

I got these years ago for another costume, but they seemed right for this. They're this weird color between brown and red. Next to a brown shoe they look red, next to a red shoe they look brown. But they ARE really comfortable. Es muy importante.

Domestic diva? I'll go with that, yeah.Like Martha Stewart, only not as stuffy. The shit I do is actually useful. I'm stealing Vintage Hat Friday for one week. Teal dress circa '53, hat circa '45. It's the ridiculous feather that does it for me. Hat was my grandmothers I think, and the dress belonged to an old family friend whose collection of old formal and cocktail dresses I aquired years ago.

Shoes were a lovely find at the Goodwill. A little roomy since they're a wide, and I am not. But I admit I couldn't say no, they were so damned cute.

I was going to have coherent thoughts and words and the like for his post, but I seem to have lost them all.
Enjoy.

Day 33

Moving on.

Did I mention I have a penchant for back and white? No? Well, I have a penchant for black and white. Now you know.

This is my graduation dress. I made it. It's hot. And makes me look even hotter. Yes, I DID wear something under my graduation robes. I also didn't cut my nice robes up to make them less boxy, that's just rude. But I didn't have the good shoes for graduation. I borrowed a similar pair from a friend's mother years ago. (Why did said mother have such sexy hoochie shoes? I'm not sure, but I don't think I want to think about her love life. I have a blinder for friends mothers and sex.) I also wore a bra at graduation so there wasn't gratuitous nippleage.

I have no words for the hotness of these shoes.

P.S. My flowers are monstrous and awesome.

Day 32

Yes, there is a 32nd day. I was going to do a month's worth only, but I still have so many shoes left to do, I think I'll keep going. More come in, more get posted. ;)

Today is a lazy Sunday and I make with the lazy Sunday posting. I made the clothes, ergo why they are so comfy. Crossbones baby doll dress (hand sewn) and the super-pants. Pretty much my at-home uniform now. I need to make another tank dress soon, this one is taking a beating.

Ballet flats. I have a few. I don't wear these often because the back tends to rub too much if I wear them for longer than a few hours. So they are relegated to quick trips to the store and the like. But they ARE adorable, yes?

Day 31

Rock Band. Is dangerous. See, they seem to have stolen a pair of my shoes from me. Literally. So this super-fantastic post on a nice quiet saturday is brought to you with EXTRA pictures! Like so many others, I was able to create a me in there that was perfectly me, down to the ink and the shoes. But it's the shoes that are important you know.

Jacket via Hot Topic, it's my biking jacket. The hat survived a trip to Guatemala and back. The jeans, as have been seen before, are just barely holding onto lie. As it is the left thigh seam is starting to rip. Psh. Ripped jeans are totally back, right?

Don't laugh. Pink. I know, surprise surprise. Got 'em at Payless ages ago during a sale. Certain persons i was ascociating with were pissed that didnt have them in his size. Wah. This was back before J-Lo started/revived the idea of sneaker styled pumps/boots. Totally in before J-Lo.

Also, PINK!

Now for reference, the Rock Band character I made, along with the tattoos I gave her painstakingly to match me as much as I could:

Day 30

Ridiculous dress! Well, no really, but the fabric is. Not sure WHY I made it. But I found the fabric in the free-stuff pile in the fashion dept a year ago. It's fantastically gaudy. It's got mirror sequins all over it. So my answer? Make something. So I made this....thing....dress....dealie. Lined in silk, almost completely hand sewn. The waist band was the most expensive art, bridal beading at $10 a yard, even on sale. But I really like that line on my back.

Backs are sexy.

Shoes are from the stripper collection. a size to small, but I can get around. Like I said, Ellie's tend to run smaller. I call them my Seuss shoes because the ankle straps bounce like Seussian springs.

Sproing?

Thursday, August 28, 2008

Day 29

You know how sometimes you just have to be silly and ridiculous? Yeah. I don't remember WHY I got these shoes. Or this bathing suit. OR that scarf. But I did. Because it was shiny? I'll go with shiny, yeah. Not a word about mixing silver and gold. We shall call it some kind of bizarre Barbarella get-up.
Actually, I think I got these the night of the Sexy Party mentioned in the previous post. We took a trip toPriscilla's and these were on sale. They're at least 5 inches tall, and make me near enough to 6 foot that I have to giggle. I'm not sure if I can call them gladiator boots with heels like that, but with those straps and shin guard I guess I must.

Wednesday, August 27, 2008

Day 28

I'm cheating. I didn't take this today. Don't tell, kay? This is a little getup I wore for one of my ladies-only Sexy Parties. Lingerie, cake, girls....and Stewie. You know how it goes. From back when I was living on Grace, and had JUST gotten the fantastic red couch that is starting to pop its springs. Sad face. The neat thing about THIS skirt is that the two rows up the front of that super shiny vinyl are actual snaps, not decoration, so I can theoretically rip the whole thing off in like a second or something. Also, it's got pockets. I know, novel idea, skirt with pockets. I am totally OK with thisPardon the crappy detail, it's the only good shot I have and I'm not feeling up to squeezing into them at the moment. Ellie's run notoriously small on their sizes, really. I wear a 8.5, but in Elle I almost have to get a 9.5. It's silly. Boots, yes. Irwin and I actually got matching boots on Ebay when we were living together. OK, I bought them, but she got her pair for some movie nonsense. I got 'em 'cuz they looked neat. 5 inch platforms, red flames on toe and heel. Lace up front. Yeah, you can't say no.

Tuesday, August 26, 2008

Day 27

More vintage. More girly poof. More ohmygodican'tbreathewhyisthiswaistsotiny.... Yeah. This one is a fantastic cocktail dress in black and white (obv). The waist area is black velvet, the rest is a ridiculous amount of gathered tulle. What was it with designers in the 50's and tulle. Half the dresses I have from then are tulle frothing concoctions...like a ver stiff and sheer merangue pie.

....pie..
So because this is dress is totally my "ballet dress" (I blame Rodin, I grew up with this statue in the house....) I paired it with my simpleset of ballet flats.

Monday, August 25, 2008

Day 26

Be your steady? Of course! I love me some retro dresses. This one I acquire from a family friend who was moving to an assisted living home. Since she'd shown me her entire collection, I knew about all the good stuff. So when the day of the auction came and we got to the giant pile of clothes no one wanted I got the whole shebang (8 boxes) for $2. What they didn't know was that all the formal and cocktail dresses from the 40's and 50's were in the bottom of the pile. Clearly I won. It's been beaten up and has some water stains from poor storage, but I'm (still) in the process of fixing it. Women then had ridiculously tiny waists. I just BARELY fit it. But beaded silk satin.....mmmmmm....

Paired with a sweet little pair of slingback clear heels I got for Senior Prom. I call them my Cinderella shoes. Aside formthe fact that they're clear, obviously, they come off before the night's dancing is done, and I usualy lose onr for a few weeks after.

Sunday, August 24, 2008

Day 25

This is a costume I made AGES ago for a Halloween party at a friends house. I don't remember much of the party, but I DO remember that I left with the Marlboro man and....you may make all kinds of assumptions and lewd jokes now. But really....wouldn't you have taken me home too?
These poor little heels I got even LONGER ago when I was still in middle school I think. The straps fell apart so I traded in ribbons which are holding up. They're real pretty to look at but not terribly easy to walk in. But that's the point, right?

Monday, July 28, 2008

Day 24

Trying to even the number of white to black shoes in my closet. I know they're hard to keep clean, but they DO look fantastic! O'Neil board shorts, and the shirt that I have been told makes my boobs look like Snoopy. You can't see it at this angle but I can see it sometimes.

New super-buckley white patent calf boots. Pointy as hell and effin' fantastic. <3

Wednesday, July 23, 2008

Day 23

I have nice office-wear, I swear! This is not really it. Ok, the pants maybe. The top? WAY too see-thru. But of all the clothes I own, this is the whitest white outfit I have. Also, pants are pinstripe. That's hot. You know it is, don't deny it.

Brand spanking new shoes via Ben. Naughty Monkey's Walk the Talk. White and pink. Do so love them. Totally office shoes that are just a little bit skanky, but not too much. I like to keep it classy you know.

Monday, July 21, 2008

Day 22

As if I needed a ladder. Really now, it was just a little unnecessary. But awesome. This is the ensemble I wore out to a RLL show last month. It was hot as hell. Me and the weather, I mean. Plaid skirt and cross-tied bikini top by me, the rest was bought. I could say something here about Hello Kitty underwear, but I won't. Because that's just overkill, right?

Right?

Giant stompy goth boots by Demonia. Somehow my Aunt Tish found her way to my Shoe List and got them for me for Christmas last year It was unexpected and awesome at the same time. And yes, they DO make me an even 6 foot.

Todays photos brought to you via Will Sims.

Day 21

After a lengthy week(end) I return home with spoils. my friend Amy gave me this fantastic red dress, and Candice is responsible for the shoes. It gives me the opportunity to go a little glamorous. And to pretend there isn't a giant mess of birdseed on my porch. Thanks finches!
"Makes my feet hurt" my ass, these are pretty damn comfy for heels. And tame too Well, for me that is.
Also, you might have noticed: new haircut. Bangs! My mother never let me have them past the age of 4, she convinced me that I had these apocalyptic-end-of-humanity magnitude cowlicks. But really, its only a small one, not two. And I like bangs. They are hot.

Thursday, June 12, 2008

Day 20

We went a little bit classic today. Just wait, I'll be waving that scarf for the drag race soon enough. Just go with it, ok? Skinny jeans, that comfy tank top, and my sassy motorcycle jacket. The car? Some neighbor's car that never moves. Which is good when one is taking pictures. Yes it is.

The shoes are an AMAZING pair of polka dot pumps that Ben got me. Yes, those heels are 5 inches. Peep toes with bows. And there's a FANTASTIC detail on the heel, a little jeweled key charm hanging off the back of both. Details?
And for added interest and amusement, I got fans today. Really. The neighborhood kids apparently need a lot of entertainment or are really bored. Because some chick taking pictures outside is PRIME. See? Fun times.

Tuesday, June 10, 2008

Day 19

Every girl needs a LBD. Little black dress. This is one of my two favorites. The other is reserved for later. A LBD needs no introduction. It just is.

Paired with my fantabulous new pair of leopard print satin pumps. I have been lusting over this style for I don't even know how long. I would post the color pics, but the B&W just look so goddamn hot.

Day 18

It's cosplay season. Bite me. Patterned and stitched up Mitsuki (from The World Ends With You) all in a weekend. Dress shirt with ruffles, nice thin cotton. The dress material was thicker, of unknown origin. Fabric has a tendency to just...appear in my house. Really. More ruffles. The wig needs some love. But overall I'm terribly pleased

Paired, as is apropriate for a very black and whie outfit, my famous white pumps. Not as sassy as the new pink ones, but when paired with the right stockings, just as fantastic.
